. A simple thing to do to prevent back pain is to learn how to lift correctly. When lifting you want to bend your knees and lift from your knees. You never want to bend over and just pick something up, this is what causes so many of us to have back pains. Lifting improperly .can cause an individual to have lasting back pain and discomfort.

Many of us do not realize that there are exercises to strengthen the back. A very popular one that is also safe is stretching. Stretching exercises do not put a strain on your lower back. You want to keep away from exercises that will put stress on your lower back. A good example of such an exercise would be sit ups.

Walking is also an excellent exercise for helping with and eliminating back pain. It is so good because it is a low impact exercise that will not lead to back pain. If you can walk 20 to 30 minutes each day this will lead to a healthier back. When walking you will increase the blood flow to your back causing back to feel better.

Another cause of lower back aches is being over weight. If you can lose some weight your back will feel much better. Especially if you can reduce the weight around your middle. This is one of the most common causes for lower back pain.

For those of you who love the water, swimming is an excellent exercise to help prevent and cure back pain. It is another of those exercises that gets the blood flowing in your back and will also help with weight loss. So keep swimming on your list of positive remedies for helping with your back pains.

This will have a positive effect on ridding yourself of those back aches. You also want to make sure that you refrain from lifting heavy objects. If you need to lift something make sure you lift it properly.
